Consultant Urological Surgeon

Mr Petr Holy is an urologist consultant both privately and for the NHS. Mr Holy specialises in the management of prostate diseases and offers men the opportunity to undergo diagnostic testing in London, such as high PSA investigation, biopsy and active surveillance with prostate MRI. Mr Holy is also able to provide follow-up care and PSA monitoring to patients who have underwent treatment at the Proton Therapy Center.

Medical Advisor, UK Oncologist

Dr Thomas Bozek is a graduate of Oxford University Medical School and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London. From Oxford, he also received a degree in philosophy, psychology and physiology.

After postgraduate training in Oxford and London, he practiced as an oncologist and palliative care physician in the UK and with the Ontario Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation in Canada. Following retirement from the NHS, he now works in a private practice in the West End of London. He has extensive experience in the management of many oncological problems including illness and treatment related symptoms.

Born in Prague he is a Czech speaker. In London, he represents the Prague Proton Centre for UK based patients interested in treatment at the centre and is able to assess them for suitability, review all relevant documentation and liaise with the centre to make the necessary arrangements. Following treatment and return to the UK, he is available for patient support and advice.

Medical Director

Specialization: prostate, head & neck, lymphomas, children

With a great deal of clinical experience from several institutions as a radiation oncologist, Dr Jiří Kubeš is a specialist in prostate carcinomas as well as head and neck tumours. He joined the Proton Therapy Center in 2012 and became the Medical Director in January 2014. Dr Kubeš is an assistant professor at the Charles University and the Institute for Postgraduate Education in Medicine.

Dr Sláviková graduated in general medicine from Masaryk University in Brno. After graduation, she worked in the Department of Clinical and Radiation Oncology at St. Anne’s University Hospital in Brno. Since 2018, she has worked at the Oncology Clinic of the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, in Prague-Motol.

Specialization: GIT, pancreas, prostate, soft part tumours

A specialist in gastrointestinal tumours, neuroendocrine tumours and disseminated peritoneal tumours, Dr Vítek is part of the medical faculty and regularly teaches at the Faculty of Medicine in Prague and the Institute for Further Education.

Dr Hass earned her degree in general medicine from Masaryk University in Brno in 2006. After graduating, she started at the Department of Clinical and Radiation Oncology at St. Anne’s University Hospital in Brno. From 2009, she has worked at the Oncology Clinic of the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, in Prague-Motol. In 2012, she acquired her specialist certification in radiation oncology. Dr Haas joined the Proton Therapy Center in Prague in 2015.

Dr Pásztorová graduated from the medical school of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. She started in the radiotherapy department at the Faculty Hospital in Prešov. Since 2001 she worked at the Oncology Clinic of the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague-Motol. In 2012 she acquired specialist competence in the field of radiation oncology. She specialises in breast and prostate cancer.

Dr Kasáčová graduated from the Medical School at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. She started at the Radiotherapy Department in Štefan Kukura Hospital and Polyclinic in Michalovce. In 1999, she acquired her first-level certification in the field of radiotherapy. From 2006, she worked at the FTN Oncology Clinic and from 2007 at the Oncology Clinic of the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, in Prague-Motol. In 2012, she acquired her specialist certification in the field of radiation oncology. She specialises in cancers of the lungs and throat.

Dr Dědečková graduated from Charles University in Prague. She specialises in lymphoma and head and neck tumours. Dr Dědečková started practicing as a radiation oncologist at the Institute of Radiation Oncology of the First Medical Faculty at Charles University and Faculty Hospital in Bulovka. In 2009, she went on to obtain a specialist certification in radiation oncology.

After working for 8 years at the Department of Radiation Oncology at Faculty Hospital in Motol, Dr Vinakurau now specialises in central nervous system tumours, but during his postdoctoral studies, he focused on the side effects of conventional radiotherapy.

Dr Ondrová, a member of the Czech Society for Radiation Oncology, Biology and Physics, specialises in lung carcinomas and paediatric carcinomas. She graduated from Masaryk University in Brno and has over 10 years of experience working at the Clinic of Radiation Oncology, Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute and the Medical Faculty at Masaryk University.

Dr Kvěch graduated in general medicine from Charles University in Prague. He worked as the Medical Director of the Pneumo-Oncology Department at the Kladno Hospital. In 2016, Dr Kvěch joined the Proton Therapy Center in Prague as a radiology oncologist specialising in lung tumours, prostate cancer and GIT tumours.

Vladimír Vondráček gained a great deal of experience in medical physics and nuclear safety at several institutions. Vladimír actively cooperates in the training of medical physicists and is involved in the preparation of international nuclear research projects with a great appreciation for the advanced technology of proton therapy.
